SB 5221 John Iacco, M.D. Washington Hospital (WEBCASE)

44 yr old woman with upper GI bleeding. Endoscopic biopsy of a gastric ulcer is performed.

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5222 Philip Engleman, M.D. Kaiser-San Jose (WEB CASE)

64 yr old male with acute myelogenous leukemia and pancytopenia. Patient was admitted to the hospital for neutropenia, fever and scattered erythrematous nodules on legs, arms and head.

A skin biopsy is performed.

74 yr old female with 0.6 cm non-pigmented skin lesion of left forearm.

37 week gestation male infant born to a 23 yr old female with active genital HSV infection who refused treatment.

11 week old infant witih a 6.0 cm gastric tumor.

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5226 Dawn Darbonne, M.D. Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (S08-2295)

27 yr old male with a nine day clinical history of progressively severe headaches and lethargy. The patient has had a seizure disorder since age 5. Clinical work-up reveals a 3 cm tumor of the 3rd ventricle with associated massive ventriculomegaly.

DIAGNOSIS:

76 yr old female with a cervical mass.

SB 5228 Chris Hansen, M.D. Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula (S08-4207)

72 yr old female with left great toe melanoma in 2005 with 7 of 19 positive groin nodes and left leg soft tissue metastases. The original tumor was Melan-A (+), HMB-45 (+) and pan-melanoma (+). The patient now presents with an 11 cm pelvic mass. Immunostains show the following profile: S100 (-), Melan-A (-), HMB-45 (-).

57 yr old male with a 15 x 14 x 11 left renal mass.

74 yr old male with bladder tumor.
