Grignon e-Case #7

Hx:    A 63 year old man is found to have microscopic hematuria on a routine physical examination. Cystoscopy reveals 2 exophytic papillary neoplasms. The remainder of the mucosa appears unremarkable. The papillary neoplasms are resected and 3 random biopsies of the normal appearing mucosa are taken. The photomicrographs are from one of these biopsies.
